After earning a PhD in experimental quantum mechanics in Vienna, I decided it was time to really make something of my life— so I became an illustrator.
I work at the intersection of science, storytelling, and image. My goal is to bring complex concepts closer to the public through illustrations that spark curiosity and emotion. I have written scripts, designed storyboards, created original illustrations, and supported audiovisual projects through scientific supervision, as well as leading workshops on visual science communication.
A few of my earlier works appeared under the project aloop - a creative alias I’ve since left behind, though some of its spirit still lingers in what I do.
Originally from Palermo, I am currently based in Barcelona.
