Illustrations developed as the visual foundation for an online academy on quantum information. They later guided the design of the landing page and the communication materials for conferences and workshops. The challenge was to speak of quantum physics without falling into clichés. The brief set the color palette, requested gender-neutral visuals, and included portraits of the Academy’s directors. The atom—an overused but unavoidable symbol—was reimagined and subtly woven into everyday scenes: a bicycle wheel, the outcome of a cat’s cradle, a plant being nurtured. The aim was to suggest that quantum ideas, while complex, can take root in familiar soil: a visual identity clear, human, and quietly surprising.
